I was inspired to write this blog post after reading a very observant article from The Guardian by Ellen E. Jones titled There Are No Black People On Game of Thrones. The article brings attention to the fact that Game of Thrones does not have enough people of color in important leading roles, and when they do show people of color they are regulated to the shadows, or are presented as oversexed stereotypes such as the nomadic warrior tribe called the Dothraki or powerless slaves lacking empowering agency. On the one hand I understand some of Jones frustrations as far as leading roles are concerned; however, in order to be fair Lord Joffrey Baratheon of House Lannister and Ramsay Bolton of House Bolton as well as Robert Baratheon himself have participated in enough sexual exploitation for me to look past the Dothraki's treatment of women, as far as sex and racial stereotyping is concerned. Jones is on firmer ground when he correctly points out the problem of having a white Daenerys Targaryean (very Abraham Lincoln Like) being the savior and liberator of the swarthy slave populations of Slavers Bay. One of her titles after all is "breaker of chains" which is the white savior myth at its finest.
I must admit that this does fall in line with other traditional white savior myths that we have also seen in otherwise great movies such as Dances With Wolves and Avatar where the minority population has no agency seemingly waiting for a white savior to rescue them. The prototype of the white savior myth even before Daenerys Targaryean can be found in the mythology of Abraham Lincoln, but I have not the time to explain that in detail with this post, all I can do is point you in the direction of reading some of the scholarship of the late former Ebony Magazine editor Lerone Bennett Jr. I do believe the "black characters" of Game of Thrones are not left out of the spotlight for racist reasons though, but in fact are in the background for an entirely different reason, and this is because the show is actually about them as strange as this may sound.

Game of Thrones the television show is based on a book by the same name and a series of novels called A Song of Ice and Fire. Why ice and fire because it is about the people of the sun, and the people of the ice. Well who are these people from this region of the world that gives you ice and fire? It is essentially a story about black and white people or a story about opposites. But ask yourself how would the public react if they witnessed on their television screen a war going on between black and white people? I mean really? It would be impossible to film this without hearing the cries of racism, so what the writers of Thrones are forced to do is to bury the story in allegory that only a few will be able to understand.

J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of The Rings is also an allegory of great battles being fought between not only the forces of light and darkness, but their "racial" counterparts as well. In the Lord of The Rings trilogy the orcs and goblins are designed with dark makeup and clothing that conjure up thoughts about race, as opposed to the hobbits, elves, and dwarves who are of course played by European actors. I do want to point out that the meaning of color and race in these stories is often scrambled and mixed up in and of itself in order to keep the uninitiated confused. In fact the way most rituals work especially in Freemasonry is they usually have duel meanings, and sometimes even more than that depending on how high you go up the ladder. White then does not always mean righteousness though in popular culture the white knight is viewed as noble, hence the fair maiden, but what if the opposite is true? White in fact is actually the color that reflects or repels light. This is why in chess white moves first because it is aggressive, yet at the same time it historically repels. Black on the other hand absorbs all colors. This is why a black Wakanda in the Marvel Universe absorbed The Avengers. What if the laws that apply to colors actually exist for mankind and the concept of "race?" Throughout history white or European rule was often accompanied by colonialism and slavery.

The Trans-Atlantic slave trade organized by Europe was unparalleled in history, and was the only form of slavery purely based on race. European powers raised the thousand year old civilizations of the Aztec, Inca and Mayans in the Americas. Of course one can not forget the scramble and colonization of Africa and India. The two World Wars were initiated by Europe as well as the many wars that "are not called wars" that followed. The reality is wars have been going on in the Middle East nonstop. Most of these wars have been led by European nations regardless of what the propaganda system called news tells you. I believe this all ties into a great cosmic balance in the universe reflected in numerous dualities. This is essentially known as the precession of the equinox which last for a 24,000 cycle of two equal halves of 12,000 years. One 12,000 year half is an ascending time period when we see racial unity and a general advancement in civilization. This racial unity can best be associated with the time of Lemuria and Atlantis where the population was more united and much browner. The other 12,000 years is associated with a decline in culture cumulating in racial divisions and white domination or white supremacy. The two cycles are usually divided by a cataclysmic event such as recalled by the many flood legends associated with the stories of Gilgamesh and Noah's Ark and the sinking of Atlantis. This all ties in to George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire saga. The fire is representative of rule by the sun people of the south and east, and their ascending 12,000 years of racial unity with no slavery or exploitation of others. This is why Daenerys ends oppression and "breaks chains."

The ice is represented by the 12,000 descending years ruled over by the blue eyed white walkers from the north. The White Walkers actually in my opinion represent white rule be it the Aryan invasions of India or the Greek and Roman invasions of Africa and the Middle East, or even the Conquistadors of South America. The White Walkers also represent Western Europe's domination of the world. In fact the first force of resistance that the White Walkers face is those holding the wall at Winterfell, and and they are known as the Black Brothers. I believe the Black Brothers though they are played by brunet white characters like John Snow and Samwell, they are in fact suppose to represent black people holding the wall against the inevitable cycle of the precession of the equinox that forced blacks out of power thousands of years ago. This is just like how this new cycle we are currently living in today will surely bring an end to white supremacy. The Black Brothers are not the only metaphorical representation of actual black people, but I believe that Daenerys Targaryean's army of the Unsullied from Slavers Bay in the South, as well as the Dothraki from Essos in the East are people of the sun. They are suppose to represent the people and civilizations from Africa and the Middle East such as Sumer, Egypt, India, Nubia, Ethiopia and even older civilizations like Atlantis and Lemuria. All of these aforementioned sun people would be people of color. Westeros's Casterly Rock and King's Landing on the other hand is the home to the blonde headed Lannisters which is also representative of Western Europe and the old age. Its all very interesting because during the 1990s during the height of what was then known as Afrocentrism, people in what became known as the conscious community would read the works of Senegalese scholar Dr. Cheikh Anta Diop, and listen to the lectures of Dr. Leonard Jefferies. Who would often talk about the theory of sun people and ice people. This group was very different than those known collectively today as "Hoteps" however, they were equally as controversial because they challenged the status quo.

In fact Dr. Leonard Jefferies who is a New York City professor emeritus at City College became very controversial for mentioning the formerly unrecognized role that Jews played in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates believes that Jefferies exaggerates his claims of Jewish involvement; however, the Nation of Islam supports Jefferies claim citing their three volume book on the subject as proof. A lesser known but also controversial theory of Jefferies that he used to explain racism is what he calls"sun people and ice people."

Jefferies most likely borrowed this idea from Cheikh Anta Diop who called it the Two Cradle Theory. This theory explained the different cultures and attitudes between Africa in the Southern Cradle, and Europe in the Northern Cradle. In a simplified explanation It was the belief of both Diop and Jefferies that essentially African people were generally kind and passive because they were from a warm climate where food was in abundance, and that whites in general were aggressive because they were from a cold harsh climate were they constantly had to fight for survival. It was their belief that the climate played an important role in both culture and development

This theory was also further developed by a Canadian scholar by the name of Michael Bradley who in an odd twist happened to be white. He wrote a controversial book titled The Ice Man Inheritance adding that interbreeding with Neanderthals caused the violent tendencies in Europeans. Its worth pointing out that Bradley believed European homo sapiens mixed with Neanderthals years before modern science and genetics would prove this as a fact. The DreamWorks movie The Croods attempted to put a pleasant face on this fact. The weakness of the ice people has always been the powerful UV rays of the sun, historically this is still true today. People with pale skin get skin cancer at a higher rate than people with melanin. Also pale skin does not offer the same protection for the molecule folate as does melanated skin. People with dark skin living in cold climates with low UV may not get enough vitamin D, and therefore may acquire rickets. Will the White Walkers and dragons weaknesses be the sun and cold? Could it be that these all but forgotten radical theories being put forth by these black scholars in the past are actually closer to the truth than what people were willing to admit, and also more amazing have these theories been secretly encoded in the fantasies of authors like J.R.R. Tolkien and George R.R. Martin. Furthermore would it be wrong for us to simply see the title Game of Thrones and substitute the word "Throne" for "Age," as in Game of the Ages, where who occupies the throne depends on where we are at during the cycle of the precession of the equinox. Throughout the years great writers have always used the power of allegory as symbolism to either hide or slowly unveil deeper messages in their work. Why then would Game of Thrones not be any different. So much attention is paid to the romance of Daenerys Targaryean and John Snow and the diabolical Cersei that two very important characters have gone unnoticed right in plain sight.

The characters of which I talk about is none other than the former slave and Commander of the Unsullied Grey Worm, and his love interest the handmaiden and beautiful advisor to Queen Daenerys Targaryen Missandei. Missandei actually shadows Daenerys throughout the television show because I believe Missandei actually is Daenerys. Shadowing has become a popular tactic that Hollywood often does when they want to hide information while at the same time also revealing their ideas. Well if Missandei is really the subconscious of Daenerys then who is Jon Snow's shadow? I believe John Snow's shadow is Grey Worm the love interest of Missandei, and also Tyrion Lannister as they are both rejected and seen as outcast by their families, and possibly the cornerstone from which the future is built upon.

The proof of which is in the very names Grey Worm and Missandei. Jon Snow is not the only dragon, metaphorically speaking Grey Worm is a dragon too. The word worm actually comes from the old Norse word orm which means snake or dragon, so yes Grey Worm's name actually means dragon. Grey is made from the colors black and white which are the symbolic opposites coming together. As I mentioned earlier these 12,000 year halves are part of the 24,000 year cycle known as the precession of the equinox. I believe the 12,000 years that just past was a descending time period of civilization as well as racial and religious division. The next 12,000 years that we currently just began known as the Age of Aquarius or Dwapara Yuga will be an ascending time of greater religious unity, sexual freedom, and the black and white races coming together. This is why we have been seeing the first African-American President, a Latin Pope, and African Americans like Megan Markel marrying into the British Royal Family. It is all a sign of the times or the new age. The elites are very in tune with the cosmic balance and follow the ancient Hermetic philosophy of "as above so below." Hollywood then serves as a useful propaganda tool to direct the masses.

Notice that the black and white dragons also come together to form the color grey in the DreamWorks animation movie How To Train A Dragon 3. Grey Worm and Missandie are what some would call mulatto or of mixed race further driving home the point of racial unity in the new age. Its most likely no coincidence that the name Missandei is made up of the word the word "miss" which means fail to notice just like many people have surely failed to notice the true meaning of Missandei and Grey Worm's shadowing of Daenerys and John Snow. Rather than dig for symbolism most people only see the obvious and for them there are not enough black people in Game of Thrones not fully realizing the true meaning of ice and fire. The Hollywood elite very cleverly use their magic as a tool to prepare the masses for what is to come. As far as how Game of Thrones will end will Daenerys and Jon get on the throne or will they die? I don't know but I will be watching with anticipation like everyone else, but wouldn't it be interesting if Grey Worm and Missandie survive it all.
A few additional thoughts. It was mentioned in The Guardian article that there was a Forbes article written by senior contributor Dani Di Placido who was writing from the perspective of being a supportive apologist for Game of Thrones mostly white casting decisions. It specifically mentioned Star Wars actor John Boyega's criticism of Thrones casting choices. Di Placido based his argument around the idea that Game of Thrones gets its inspiration from British history and mythology, this in my opinion couldn't be further from the truth. In fact I see many African/Egyptian themes all throughout not only Game of Thrones, but Lord of The Rings, Harry Potter and even Star Wars as well.

The character Jon Snow who is the dead resurrected king is clearly inspired by the chief Egyptian god king Asar or Osiris who was also killed and resurrected by a woman, not the Red Witch Melisandre, but the goddess Isis with help from Anubis. Jon Snow being closely associated with dogs, wolfs and direwolves is because Osiris was resurrected by a dog headed god named Anubis. In early Egyptian history maybe even prior to Anubis the pharaohs were identified with a wolf god called Wepwawet.

The pharaoh was the original wolfman then. There is a lot of castrations or missing penises in Game of Thrones. What's this all about? Grey Worm who I already explained is the /worm/orm/dragon is castrated, as is Theon Greyjoy. Was not the Egyptian god king Osiris also castrated, and when Isis resurrected him this is the only piece she could not find. The Egyptian obelisk erected all throughout Egypt were symbolic of not only the sun but Osiris's missing phallus.

Though the pharaoh was castrated when he was finally resurrected as the returning anointed messiah Sobek (crocodile/dragon god) he was now known for incredible sexual powers. I am constantly reminded again and again how much Thrones is greatly inspired by Egypt. Jon Snow even has a cut across his eye that was given to him by a hawk. This is similar to the wound Horus received from his evil uncle Set popularly known today as the Eye of Ra or Eye of Horus.
Horus was also a hawk or falcon god, so Jon Snow is not only Osiris, but the living Horus. Of course I must mention this Eye of Horus or Eye of Ra also appears in J.R.R. Tolkien's work as the Eye of Sauron. Also the Eye of Horus is a symbol used in Freemasonry, it appears on George Washington's Freemasonic apron.

It also is a symbol associated with the Illuminati, or the enlightened and illuminated ones. In fact many believe these symbols show up in Hollywood because the illuminated ones run Hollywood. Based on what I experienced and believe I would have to agree. None of this is coincidence. They put it in your face, right in plain sight. There are no secrets, but they don't expect you to be able to unravel the mystery. Some of us are just not curious or naturally inquisitive people. Others watch television strictly for entertainment, or their time is occupied with work. The daily grind doesn't give you the time to dabble into ancient mythology. The affects of racism blind others from seeing Africa as the inspiration for European fantasy, but the truth is, it actually is. And finally the truth is often cloaked or subtly hidden by elites, only revealing enough for the curious to figure out.

Even Tyrion Lannister the intellectually gifted dwarf is made a part (the Hand) of Daenerys Targaryen's royal court because the ancient Egyptian pharaohs especially in Abydos believed that dwarves or little people possessed a special kind of luck. He also has a scar across his face because he represents opposites, the two faced Janus, the end and the beginning, the living balance of Maat. He is a Lannister who sided with and identified with Targaryen sympathies. He is a walking contradiction filled with dualities

He is the two headed Egyptian god of Horus and Set. The two that resides in all of us.Tyrion is the brilliant hand, and yet he is also attracted to heavy drinking and whoremongering. After knowing all of this to think that Game of Thrones is only inspired by British history is very misleading to say the least. A final thought. The one thing I do love about Game of Thrones is that even though we may come from different continents and have differences it also shows you how in the end we are still very much connected. Even though Daenerys Targaryen (Missandei) represents the sun people and wants to liberate the oppressed, in her self righteous zeal if she is not careful she could kill everyone, becoming in the end as cold as the Knight King she hates.
